We would like you to know that over the last few weeks our committee have been working very hard to make plans for when dog club is able to re open. Taking into account safety of all and covid restrictions alongside additional requirements of the Stanway Hall Committee too. We continue to be guided by Government and local information. Our overriding concern remains the safety and wellbeing of all our members, the trainers and committee helpers who support the club. Coronavirus (COVID-19) Alert Due to Government advice on the Coronavirus, it is with regret that CEDTS has to announce that we have no option but to cease all classes until further notice. All those currently taking part in the Intro class or on the April/May/June courses will be notified of a start date when the Club is able to set a date to resume training. Charity Collection-our amazing Xmas and yearly Charitable donations- As you will recall at our Christmas Party we asked our members to make a donation and chose a Charity to support. The collection was a great success and along with the ongoing donations to our Charity fund throughout the year from our members, we are very pleased to be able to support all 5. Therefore, to the two most popular charities, we will be donating a fantastic:- £140.00 to Cinnamon Trust and £140.00 to Canine Concern. A further donation each of £50.00 will also go to PDSA, Dogs Trust and Blue Cross. [...]
Canine Virus Alert-Some of you will be aware that a Potentially fatal Virus has hit North Essex's dog population. Dogs effected have symptoms such as excessive vomiting, lethargic, blood in stools, not eating and diarrhoea. A number of cases have been reported in Halstead, surrounding areas and a number of other locations across the country. Vets believe this is a potentially lethal virus. Therefore, we politely request that if your dog is displaying any of the above symptoms or appears unwell in any way, please refrain from attending your training class/course and seek Veterinary advice immediately. We would like to wish all our members and their canine companions a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Our last evening is on Wednesday 12th December and this is our Christmas party night. We hope to see you all there having as much fun as your dogs! Please note our AGM will be on 8th January 2020 and our first training night back is on the 15th January 2020. Bronze Awards- Six successful dogs and their handlers for The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Award test in October. Congratulations to Oakie, Bonnie R, Bonnie B, Peanut, Dottie, Misca and of course their handlers! Thank you to our KC Examiner and congratulations.
Please note on Wednesday 13th November 2019 we will be holding combined Tricks Classes. Class 1 & 2 will have their 'Tricks Class' which will run from 7.45pm to 8.45pm. There will then be a short break to 9pm and Classes 3 & 4 will have their Tricks Class from 9pm to 10pm. Sarah Amos will be introducing lots of fun techniques to help teach your dog some Tricks. Please be prepared for lots of fun and great ideas. Best titbits/toys at the ready!
